Image sepia / tone adjuster

Apply sepia and hue adjustments to an image and export the result.

Input and settings

How to use it

Add a sepia look and a cool-to-warm tone shift, then export the result as PNG. The source file is not overwritten; the processed image is created in your browser.

  1. Choose an image.
  2. Use Sepia for the aged-photo strength, then Tone to move the image cooler or warmer.
  3. Run the tool, inspect the preview, and adjust again before saving if needed.

A useful starting point

For a restrained vintage look, try Sepia around 50–60 and Tone around +10. Starting below the maximum makes it much easier to judge the original colors against the effect.

Whites and skin tones reveal color shifts quickly, so trust the preview more than the slider number.

Sepia is not simply “grayscale plus brown”

The conversion remixes the RGB channels while keeping part of the original color. A blue sky, a red shirt and neutral paper therefore react differently instead of collapsing to the same brown-tinted gray.

Tone moves the red/blue balance

Positive values push the image warmer by adding red and reducing blue; negative values move it cooler. If sepia alone feels too yellow or warm, a small move toward the cool side can bring the result back.

More strength is not always more convincing

At high settings bright areas can look flatter and strong original colors can lose their character. For social images or documents, start around the middle and increase only if the effect is still too subtle.

The download is PNG

Even when the source is JPEG, this tool exports PNG. That avoids another lossy JPEG pass, but photographic files can become larger. Compress or convert the saved result afterward if file size matters.
