A landscape portrait becomes a center-cropped circle

For a wide image, Circle first uses the centered square whose side equals the source height, then clips that square to a circle.

Circle mode does not reposition the subject. If a face sits near an edge, crop or reposition the photo first or the centered circle can cut the subject off.

Circle mode crops before it clips

The tool takes a centered square from the original image and then applies the circular mask. It does not squeeze the full rectangle into a circle.

Rounded-rectangle mode keeps the original canvas size

Only the corner mask changes. Width and height remain the same as the source rather than being cropped to a new aspect ratio.

Transparent corners require PNG

The regions outside the rounded or circular shape are transparent, so the result is exported as PNG rather than JPEG.

Corner radius scales with image size

The percentage is converted to a pixel radius using the shorter image dimension, giving a visually similar setting across different source sizes.
