A large-image card produces five twitter:* tags

Choosing summary_large_image writes that value into twitter:card along with the entered title, description, image and site metadata.

The generator does not verify that the image URL is reachable, that the site handle exists, or that X will render a card. Validate the published page with the platform’s actual crawler behavior.

The card type changes the intended presentation

summary_large_image requests a more image-forward layout, while summary is aimed at a compact card. Actual rendering can still vary by platform UI.

Metadata text is escaped before output

Characters with HTML meaning are escaped so titles or descriptions do not accidentally break the generated meta tags.

The image should be externally reachable

A locally accessible file path or protected image may work in your browser but remain unavailable to the social crawler that builds the card.

Twitter/X metadata can coexist with Open Graph

Many sites publish both sets. This generator writes only twitter:* tags, so pair it with Open Graph metadata when broader social compatibility matters.
