PDFs can contain document information beyond the visible pages

Title, author, subject, creator application, producer, and dates can exist inside the file even when none of them appear on the page. This tool lists those common fields.

Clearing metadata is not complete anonymization

The optional cleaned copy clears common document-info fields. It does not guarantee removal of attachments, annotations, embedded objects, custom XML, or every identifier that may matter in a forensic sanitization workflow.

An empty Creator field does not prove the file is anonymous

Other parts of the PDF may still reveal information. If the goal is external publication without identifying traces, review the whole file rather than relying on one metadata panel.

Decide what you actually need to remove

If you only need to clear title or author information, this tool may be enough. For stronger sanitization requirements, use a workflow specifically designed to inspect and remove hidden document data.
