Image brightness / contrast / saturation

Adjust brightness, contrast, and saturation and export the result.

Input and settings

How to use it

Adjust brightness, contrast and saturation from -100 to 100, then export the result as PNG. It is designed for quick corrections such as lifting a dark image or reducing overly strong color.

  1. Choose an image.
  2. Move Brightness, Contrast and Saturation only as much as needed.
  3. Run the adjustment, compare against the source, then refine before saving if necessary.

Start with changes around ±10 to ±20

For a slightly dark photo, try Brightness +10 to +20. If colors feel excessive, try Saturation -10 to -20 before making a larger move.

Strong corrections can clip highlights, crush shadows or saturate colors. The tool cannot reconstruct tonal detail that was never captured in the source.

Brightness moves RGB channels together

The adjustment shifts channel values in the same direction. Raising it too far pushes more pixels toward 255, making differences in bright areas disappear.

Contrast moves values away from or toward the midpoint

The calculation uses a midpoint around 128. Increasing contrast strengthens separation between light and dark, but aggressive settings can remove visible detail at both ends.

Saturation changes channel separation around luminance

The tool estimates luminance and expands or contracts each channel’s difference from it. Negative values reduce colorfulness; positive values make colors more pronounced.

Change one control at a time when possible

Large simultaneous moves make it difficult to see which control caused an unwanted look. Small, separate adjustments plus a quick comparison with the original are easier to judge.
