Everything after the first vertical bar is joined back into the answer. This allows an answer itself to contain additional vertical bars without splitting it into extra FAQ entries.
Creating valid-looking JSON-LD does not guarantee a special FAQ display in search. Eligibility and presentation are controlled by search-engine policies and page context.
The downloaded JSON can be syntactically correct here and still be embedded incorrectly in a page. After implementation, inspect the final HTML and structured-data output together.
