Extract internal image objects from a PDF

The tool looks for image objects used by PDF.js and saves extractable objects as PNG files. This is different from PDF to Image, which renders whole pages.

A visible picture is not always stored as one image object

PDFs can split a photo into tiles, combine it with masks, or draw visuals with vectors. In those cases the tool may not return the visible artwork as one clean image.

Direct extraction is capped at 100 objects

The limit keeps large PDFs from overwhelming browser memory. Extracted objects are saved as PNG for convenience, so the original compression format is not necessarily preserved.

Render whole pages when you need the page appearance

If you want the complete page including text, graphics, and background, PDF to Image is the more reliable workflow. Choose based on whether you need internal assets or the page as seen.
