Rotation and flipping are separate operations
Use rotation when the whole image points the wrong direction. Use horizontal flip when text or a selfie is mirrored, and vertical flip for top/bottom inversion.

Rotate an image in 90° steps and flip it horizontally or vertically.
Rotate an image by 0°, 90°, 180° or 270° and optionally combine horizontal and vertical flips, then save the result as PNG.
Rotation and mirror flipping solve different problems. A 180° rotation turns the image upside down but does not create or remove a mirror image; horizontal flip is what reverses left and right.
Use rotation when the whole image points the wrong direction. Use horizontal flip when text or a selfie is mirrored, and vertical flip for top/bottom inversion.
A 1200 × 800 image becomes 800 × 1200 after a 90° or 270° rotation; the tool does not add padding to keep the old canvas size.
Rather than save a rotation and then reopen the result for a flip, set the required rotation and flips together and make one final output.
When a photo contains signs or labels, readable non-mirrored text is often the fastest way to confirm both rotation and horizontal flip.
If the destination specifically needs JPEG, verify the orientation first and convert the final accepted PNG afterward.
