Mercari Shops documents a maximum of 10,000 products in one bulk-registration CSV. This checker counts data rows excluding the header and reports 10,001 or more as an error.
At 10,000 or below, the file passes this specific file-size rule.
Mercari Shops notes that some shops, including during an initial period, can be limited to a maximum of 200 registered products. That is account state, not something the CSV file can reveal.
A file under 10,000 rows can therefore still exceed what the shop is currently allowed to register.
Even when 10,000 rows are technically allowed, one bad row in a huge file can make diagnosis slower. For a new template or workflow, a smaller test batch is often easier to validate first.
