Image watermark maker

Add a text watermark to an image with position, opacity, and size controls.

Input and settings

How to use it

Add a text watermark to an image and save the result as PNG. Choose a corner or the center, then adjust text size and opacity to suit the image.

  1. Choose an image and enter the watermark text.
  2. Select position, size (as a percentage of image width) and opacity.
  3. Inspect the preview and download the PNG if the text is readable and stays inside the image.

Add a subtle credit in the bottom-right corner

Enter “© Example,” choose Bottom right, use roughly 4–5% size and opacity around 0.3 as a starting point for a credit that does not dominate the photo.

Very long text or a large size can run beyond the image edge. A watermark is also not DRM: it can discourage casual reuse or show attribution, but it cannot technically prevent copying.

Choose placement around the important subject

A corner is often less intrusive for photos, while a centered mark can be more visible on proofs or samples. Avoid covering faces or essential text unless that is intentional.

Size follows the image width

The same percentage becomes a different pixel size on a small social image versus a high-resolution source, so check the actual preview each time.

Opacity depends on the background

A subtle mark may disappear over a similarly colored area. Move it or increase opacity until it remains readable on the chosen background.

The downloaded result is PNG

JPEG sources are also saved as PNG after the watermark is added. Convert afterward if a JPEG deliverable is required.

Watermarks are only one protection measure

Cropping or editing can sometimes remove them. For valuable work, combine attribution with sensible publishing resolution, licensing terms and source-file retention.
