Before using the result

Keep the original for important images and verify dimensions, quality, transparency, and other relevant properties before replacing it.

What to know before using it

Photos may store camera model, timestamp, orientation and GPS coordinates. Before publishing, review metadata as well as the visible image.

Common failure points

  • Some services strip EXIF, so metadata may already be absent.
  • Capture time is only as accurate as the camera clock.
  • Removing GPS does not prevent location inference from visible content.

Practical example

A common privacy check is verifying that GPS fields are absent before posting a photo publicly.
