Timestamp removal
Standalone times and timestamps at the start of a line
Duplicate removal
Adjacent identical lines only
Cue removal
Standalone [Music], [Applause], [Laughter] and similar supported labels
Layout
One utterance per line / readable paragraphs

Remove alternating 0:00-style timestamps and keep the spoken text

A pasted sequence such as 0:00 / Hello / 0:03 / Today… can be cleaned into speech-focused text when timestamp removal is enabled.

Duplicate removal is intentionally limited to identical neighboring lines. The same sentence appearing later remains. The cleaner also does not fully identify speaker names or every possible subtitle cue used by every video.

A YouTube URL alone is not enough

The page does not download captions or analyze a video. First display the transcript on YouTube, then copy and paste the text you are allowed to work with.

Timestamp cleanup handles common copied transcript shapes

It can remove lines that contain only a time as well as timestamps placed at the beginning of a transcript line. Leave the option off when timing information matters to your work.

Adjacent-only duplicate removal is deliberately conservative

Copy glitches often repeat the same line immediately. Removing only neighboring duplicates avoids deleting a legitimate sentence that happens to be repeated later in the video.

Choose the layout for the next task

One utterance per line is better for subtitle or quote review. Readable paragraphs are easier for reading, summarizing or drafting notes from the transcript.

Cleanup does not correct transcription mistakes

Names, technical terms, punctuation and recognition errors can still be wrong in the source transcript. Verify important quotes or claims against the original video before publishing them.
