Every conversion passes through bytes
The selected input unit is first converted to a byte count, then each output unit is calculated from that common value.

Convert decimal and binary storage units.
Convert one storage value into decimal units (B, KB, MB, GB) and binary units (KiB, MiB, GiB) from a single input.
1 GB equals 1,000,000,000 bytes. Dividing by 1,048,576 gives approximately 953.674 MiB.GB and GiB are not interchangeable labels. Drive manufacturers often use decimal GB, while operating systems and technical tools may show binary-sized values.
The selected input unit is first converted to a byte count, then each output unit is calculated from that common value.
KB, MB, GB and TB follow SI-style factors in this tool: 10³, 10⁶, 10⁹ and 10¹² bytes.
KiB, MiB and GiB use 2¹⁰, 2²⁰ and 2³⁰ bytes, which is why the numeric value differs from similarly named decimal units.
The current output includes byte through GB and GiB values. It does not add a separate TB or TiB result line.
