Listing ramen twice really does give it twice the weight

With ramen / ramen / soba / set meal, ramen occupies two of the four entries. Identical duplicate lines therefore make that option more likely to be picked.

For equal odds, enter each distinct option exactly once.

Blank lines are not candidates

The input is split into lines, outer whitespace is trimmed, and empty lines are removed before the draw.

Duplicate options are not deduplicated

Two identical lines count as two entries. That can be used deliberately as weighting, but accidental duplicates make the draw less even.

Selection happens in the browser

One candidate is chosen locally from the entered list. The options are not sent to a server for a recommendation decision.

Disagreeing with the result can still help

If the roulette picks one place and your immediate reaction is “not that one,” you have still narrowed down what you actually want.
