One source image, many tiny targets

Favicons and app icons reuse the same mark at very different sizes. This tool creates ICO and PNG variants from one source so you do not have to resize each file by hand.

The surprise is the 16 px version

A logo that looks perfect at 1024 px can turn into mush at 16 px. Fine text, thin strokes and edge details disappear first, so the smallest preview is worth checking before you download everything.

Crop or fit?

Center crop fills the square but may cut off the edges.
Fit keeps the full image but may add background space.
Use a simple, centered source image with comfortable margins.

A practical starting point

A clean 1024 × 1024 source gives the generator enough room to make 16/32/48 px favicons and larger app-icon PNGs. Check the 16 px and 32 px results first.
