CSV column extractor

Extract selected columns from pasted CSV.

How to use it

Keep only the columns you need from a large CSV—for example id,email or sku, price, stock. The order you enter becomes the output column order.

  1. Paste the CSV and enter header names separated by commas.
  2. Check the first output row for the intended names and order.
  3. Review a few data rows before saving or passing the result onward.

Requested order becomes output order

A source id,name, email can be exported as email,id. This is useful both for dropping columns and adapting to a partner’s expected order.

Header matching is exact

email, Email, and a header with trailing whitespace are different strings. If any requested header is missing, the tool stops instead of silently exporting an incomplete shape.

Duplicate requests are collapsed

Entering id,name,id does not clone the ID column. An empty request is also blocked rather than generating a CSV of blank lines.

Rows and values are otherwise untouched

The tool changes selection and column order only. Row order, duplicate rows, and cell values remain exactly where they were.

A practical example

Extract customer_id,email for a mailing workflow or sku, price, stock for inventory sync. If the goal is privacy reduction, check the final header row before sharing.
