Images should appear immediately when the ZIP is opened

BASE expects product images at the ZIP root. A doubled path such as `image_folder/image_folder/a.jpg` prevents the images from being read correctly.

This checker inspects ZIP entry paths and reports images nested inside folders.

Compressing a folder from macOS or Windows can accidentally add an extra directory level. A useful manual check is simple: open the ZIP and confirm that the image files are visible immediately.

Image filenames must match the CSV and should avoid Japanese characters

The BASE CSV refers to image filenames in Image 1–20 columns. A one-character mismatch breaks the pairing. BASE also warns that Japanese filenames can fail, so simple ASCII names are safer.

Use the BASE CSV + image ZIP checker when you also want to compare CSV references against ZIP contents.

Treat the result as a preflight check, not a guarantee that the platform will accept the upload. Account state and current admin settings can add conditions that a browser-only checker cannot prove.

The ZIP limit and per-image limit are separate

The image ZIP can be up to 1 GB, while each product image should stay within 10 MB. A ZIP can be under 1 GB and still contain one oversized image.

The checker reports both the archive-size risk and individual uncompressed image sizes.

A clean ZIP does not prove the product CSV is import-ready

Product IDs, variation IDs, price and stock can still stop an import even when every image is packaged correctly.
